Radim Laibl

Radim Laibl is a Czech politician and educator who has served as the Mayor of Žatec since October 2022. A member of the ANO movement, he has been a representative of the Ústí nad Labem Region since 2016 and a regional councilor focused on healthcare since 2020. Previously, he served as the deputy mayor of Žatec from 2018 to 2022. Before entering politics, Laibl worked as a secondary school teacher and was involved in professional sports as a futsal player and assistant coach for the FK Teplice U17 football team. During his tenure as mayor, he oversaw the successful inscription of Žatec and the Landscape of Saaz Hops onto the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023.
