Raj Loomba, Baron Loomba

Rajinder Paul Loomba, Baron Loomba, is a British philanthropist, entrepreneur, and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2011. Born in India, he founded the Rinku Group and later established The Loomba Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting widows and their children globally, which successfully campaigned for the United Nations to recognize International Widows Day. Originally sitting for the Liberal Democrats, he has served as a non-affiliated peer since 2016, focusing his parliamentary work on human rights, gender equality, and sustainable development.
