Ralf Claus is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Ingelheim am Rhein, a position he has held since 2012. Born in Ingelheim in 1960, he studied political science, journalism, and law at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Before his tenure as mayor, he served as a member of the Ingelheim city council starting in 1989 and worked as an editor for an economic information service. He also served as a full-time mayor for the city beginning in 1999. Claus has announced his intention to retire early in April 2026.
