Þórarinn Ingi Pétursson is an Icelandic politician and member of the Althing representing the Northeast Constituency. Born in 1972, he has a background as a professional sheep farmer and agricultural engineer, having graduated from Hólaskóli in 1994. Before his election to Parliament, he served as the chairman of the National Sheep Farmers' Association from 2012 to 2016. He first entered the Althing in 2021 following the death of a colleague and was subsequently elected in his own right in 2021 and re-elected in 2024. Within the legislature, he currently serves as the chairman of the Agriculture Committee.
