Rhéal Fortin

Rhéal Fortin is a Canadian lawyer and politician serving as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Rivière-du-Nord. A lawyer by profession and president of the firm Bissonnette Fortin Giroux, he was first elected to the House of Commons in 2015. Fortin previously served as the interim leader of the Bloc Québécois from 2015 to 2017 and later led the short-lived parliamentary group Québec debout following a caucus split in 2018. He has held various shadow cabinet roles and currently serves as the vice chair of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights in the 45th Canadian Parliament.
