Richard de Boer

Richard de Boer is a Dutch politician and jurist currently serving as the Mayor of Landgraaf since November 2021. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he previously served as the Mayor of Simpelveld from 2011 to 2021, where he was recognized as the youngest mayor in the Netherlands at the time of his appointment. Earlier in his career, he was a municipal councilor and alderman in Brunssum. De Boer holds a degree in Dutch law from Maastricht University and has extensive experience in regional governance and public administration.
