Richard Gafabusa

Richard Muhumuza Gafabusa is a Ugandan politician, environmentalist, and administrative lawyer currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Bwamba County. First elected to the 10th Parliament in 2016, he was re-elected in 2021 to the 11th Parliament, where he serves on the Committee on Trade, Tourism and Industry. Before entering elective politics, Gafabusa held various roles in development and advocacy, including positions with ActionAid International Uganda, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development. He also served as the speaker of the Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba from 2012 to 2016.
