Richard Martel is a Canadian politician and former professional ice hockey coach who has served as the Member of Parliament for Chicoutimi—Le Fjord since 2018. Before entering federal politics, he had a distinguished career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he became the winningest head coach in the league's history and twice received the Ron Lapointe Trophy. As a member of the Conservative Party, he previously served as the party's Quebec lieutenant from 2020 to 2021. Martel continues to represent his constituency in the House of Commons.
