Rita Donaghy, Baroness Donaghy

Rita Donaghy, Baroness Donaghy is a British life peer in the House of Lords and a prominent trade unionist. Educated at the University of Durham, she held significant roles in the National and Local Government Officers Association (NALGO) and served as President of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) in 2000. Throughout her career, she has chaired the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) and led various public inquiries, including a notable 2010 report on construction industry safety. She was created a life peer in 2010 and continues to contribute to public life through her work on committees and advisory groups.
