Robert van Asten is a Dutch politician and member of the House of Representatives. Born in Voorburg and raised in Rijswijk, he holds a degree in tax law from Leiden University. Before entering national politics, he worked as a tax advisor at Deloitte and a solicitor at Vistra. Van Asten served as a city council member in The Hague from 2014 to 2018, later serving as an alderman and deputy mayor of The Hague, where he managed portfolios including mobility, culture, and urban development. He is a member of the D66 party.
