Rodion Bakum

Rodion Bakum is a German politician and physician who has served as a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2022. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, he immigrated to Germany as a child and later pursued a career in medicine, specializing in psychiatry and psychotherapy. Before his election to the state parliament, he served on the Mülheim an der Ruhr city council and became the chair of the local SPD sub-district in 2019. In the state legislature, he focuses on crisis management and serves as a deputy chair of the NRW-Israel parliamentary group.
