Rodney Schamerhorn is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for the 24th district. Born in Jasper, Texas, and raised in Florien, Louisiana, he founded his own company, Schamerhorn, Inc., in 1984, which provides services in trucking, demolition, and waste management. After an unsuccessful bid in 2015, he was elected to the state legislature in 2019 and assumed office in January 2020. He is a member of the House Rural Caucus and the Republican Delegation.
