Roelof Bleker

Roelof Bleker is a Dutch administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Enschede, a position he has held since 2022. Previously, he served as the chairman of the board for the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) from 2018 to 2022 and as the water board chairman (dijkgraaf) of Rivierenland between 2010 and 2018. Earlier in his career, he was a municipal councilor and alderman in Enschede, where he notably oversaw the reconstruction of the Roombeek district. Although formerly associated with the Labour Party (PvdA), he currently serves as an independent politician.
