Ron DeSantis is an American politician and attorney currently serving as the 46th Governor of Florida, a position he has held since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 6th congressional district from 2013 to 2018. A graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School, DeSantis is a former U.S. Navy officer who served as a legal advisor. During his tenure as governor, he has focused on conservative policy initiatives, including education reform and fiscal management, and was a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
