Ryoko Kaji is a Japanese politician and former television announcer currently serving as the Mayor of Ogori City in Fukuoka Prefecture. Born in 1964, he graduated from Saitama University before embarking on a long career in broadcasting, working for NBC Nagasaki and later TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, where he became known for his sports commentary and news reporting. He entered politics in 2017, winning his first mayoral election in Ogori. He was re-elected in 2021 and secured a third term in 2025. Throughout his career, he has been active in civic organizations, including the Lincoln Forum and various regional non-profit initiatives.
