Ryuji Kasai is a Japanese politician who served as a member of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly for four consecutive terms starting in 2011. A graduate of Meiji Gakuin University, he previously worked as a secretary to a member of the House of Representatives and as an administrator for a medical corporation before being elected to the Kushiro City Council in 2007. He resigned from his prefectural assembly seat in September 2024 to run for mayor of Kushiro.
