片岡聡一

Soichi Kataoka is a Japanese politician currently serving his fifth term as the Mayor of Soja City in Okayama Prefecture. A graduate of Aoyama Gakuin University, he previously worked as a secretary to Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto. Since his first election as mayor in 2007, he has focused on progressive social policies, including the promotion of employment for people with disabilities, the introduction of a partnership oath system for LGBT couples, and the implementation of a family-ship system. He is also known for his active engagement in disaster management and community welfare initiatives.
