S. S. Sivasankar is an Indian politician and writer currently serving as a Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for the Kunnam constituency. A member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), he previously served as the Minister for the Welfare of Backward, Most Backward and Denotified Communities and as the Minister for Transport in the M. K. Stalin ministry. An engineer by training, Sivasankar has been active in local governance and district-level party leadership since the 1990s. He is also a published author and a vocal advocate for social justice and reservation policies in India.
