Born in Nuremberg, she studied history and English at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg and earned a doctorate in Bavarian regional history. Before entering state politics, she worked as a research associate at the Schwabach City Museum and gained recognition for her historical novels. Since 2018, she has served as a member of the Landtag of Bavaria, representing the constituency of Nuremberg-South for Alliance 90/The Greens.
