Sang-ho Jo is a South Korean politician currently serving as the 5th Mayor of Sejong Special Self-Governing City. He holds a doctorate in Political Science and Diplomacy from Korea University. Before his election as mayor, he served in various administrative and political roles, including as the Economic Vice Mayor of Sejong and as a political aide to National Assembly members. He has been active in the Democratic Party of Korea, having served as a senior vice-chairman of the party's Sejong City committee and as a deputy director of the Institute for Democracy.
