Sankar Kumar Guchhait

Sankar Kumar Guchhait is an Indian politician and educator currently serving as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Representing the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was elected to the Medinipur constituency in the 2026 assembly elections, where he secured a significant victory over the incumbent candidate. Prior to his legislative career, Guchhait earned an MSc and a PhD from Vidyasagar University and worked as a high school teacher in his home district of Paschim Medinipur.
