Santa Okot

Santa Okot is a Ugandan politician, educator, and women's activist currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Aruu North in Pader District within the 11th Parliament of Uganda (2021-2026). A professional school teacher, she previously served in the 7th Parliament of Uganda and has worked as a policy facilitator at the African Leadership Institute. Beyond her legislative duties, she is a certified peace builder and negotiator who notably participated in peace talks between the Ugandan government and the Lord's Resistance Army. She is known for her advocacy for women and children and for holding government leaders accountable regarding policy and governance.
