Santa Okot
Profile
Santa Okot is a Ugandan politician, educator, and women's rights activist serving as the Member of Parliament for Aruu North in Pader District during the 11th Parliament of Uganda (2021–2026). A professional school teacher, she previously served in the 7th Parliament of Uganda and has been a prominent peace negotiator, notably involved in talks between the Ugandan government and the Lord's Resistance Army. Currently the Deputy Secretary General of the People's Progressive Party, she is recognized for her advocacy for women and children and her vocal stance on government accountability.
