Sara Aagesen

Sara Aagesen Muñoz is a Spanish politician and chemical engineer serving as the Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge since November 2024. Having graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid, she began her career in climate policy in 2002 at the Spanish Office for Climate Change and later served as Secretary of State for Energy from 2020. Throughout her career, she has been a key negotiator in international climate forums and played a central role in shaping Spain's energy transition and decarbonization strategies.
