Sarah Elmeligi is a Canadian politician serving as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for the riding of Banff-Kananaskis. Elected in the 2023 general election, she holds the distinction of being the only NDP MLA to represent a predominantly rural riding in the province. As of June 2024, she serves as the Official Opposition critic for Tourism, Sports and Recreation, as well as for Environment, Parks and Climate. Her legislative work focuses on representing rural interests while advocating for environmental and recreational policy.
