Sarah Smeyers

Sarah Smeyers is a Belgian politician and a member of the nationalist conservative party, the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA). Born in Aalst, she holds a doctorate in law and a degree in notary law from the Catholic University of Leuven. Before her parliamentary career, she worked as a notary lawyer. Smeyers became active in the N-VA youth wing in 2001 and served as a deputy in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives from 2007 to 2024. She was elected to the Flemish Parliament in 2024.
