Sari Essayah

Sari Essayah is a Finnish politician and former professional racewalker who has served as the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry since 2023. A member of the Finnish Parliament since 2015, she also leads the Christian Democrats party. Before her political career, she achieved international success in athletics, winning gold medals at the 1993 World Championships and the 1994 European Championships. Essayah holds a Master of Science in Economics and has previously served as a Member of the European Parliament.
