Hiroyoshi Sasagawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Gunma 3rd district. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he has held several key government positions, including State Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, State Minister of the Environment, and Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Before entering national politics, he served two terms in the Gunma Prefectural Assembly. Sasagawa is known for his conservative political stances, including support for constitutional reform and the exercise of the right of collective self-defense. He is the son of former politician Takashi Sasagawa and the grandson of Ryoichi Sasagawa, a prominent figure in post-war Japanese politics.
