Saurabh Thapliyal is an Indian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Dehradun. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he rose to prominence through student activism, notably serving as the President of the Students' Union at SCBA in 2001 and later as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in 2013. In January 2025, he achieved a historic electoral victory in the Dehradun municipal elections, securing the largest winning margin in the city's history.
