Scott Tannas

Scott Tannas is a Canadian politician and finance executive serving as a member of the Senate of Canada. Appointed to the Senate in 2013, he has served as the leader of the Canadian Senators Group since 2019. Before his political career, he founded and led the Western Financial Group, an insurance and banking firm based in High River, Alberta. Tannas has advocated for Senate reform, including the implementation of term limits, and currently manages the Western Investment Company of Canada.
