Sebastian Hartmann is a German politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag since 2013. Since 2025, he has also held the position of Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Defence. A long-time member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he previously chaired the party in North Rhine-Westphalia from 2018 to 2021. Hartmann played a significant role in the 2023 electoral law reform aimed at reducing the size of the Bundestag. Before his parliamentary career, he worked as a freelance organizational consultant and personal trainer.
