Seimei Ando is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Yatomi City in Aichi Prefecture. Born in 1962, he graduated from Aichi Gakuin University before working for the Yatomi Town Land Improvement District. He served two terms as a member of the Aichi Prefectural Assembly starting in 2011. In 2018, he was elected as the Mayor of Yatomi following the resignation of his predecessor. During his tenure, he has faced challenges including a city council-passed resignation recommendation resolution in 2019 and debates over municipal budget and salary reduction proposals.
