Shobun Nitta is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Kanagawa 2nd district. Born in Osaka in 1981, he graduated from Doshisha University before working as a private sector employee. He later joined the office of Yoshihide Suga, serving as his secretary for many years. Nitta notably served as a secretary to the Prime Minister during the Suga administration, holding the position twice between 2020 and 2021. In 2026, he was elected to the House of Representatives as the successor to Yoshihide Suga, pledging to carry on the political legacy of his predecessor.
