Shaista Gohir, Baroness Gohir is a British women's rights campaigner and a life peer in the House of Lords. She is widely recognized for her leadership of the national charity Muslim Women's Network UK (MWNUK), where she has long advocated for gender equality and community relations. In recognition of her extensive work in these fields, she was appointed an MBE in 2008 and an OBE in 2016. She was nominated as a Crossbench life peer by the House of Lords Appointments Commission and assumed her seat in 2022.
