Shamim Malende is a Ugandan lawyer, politician, and community activist currently serving as the Woman Representative for Kampala District in the Parliament of Uganda. A member of the National Unity Platform, she gained prominence as a legal advocate for the People Power movement, providing pro-bono representation for hundreds of political detainees. She was first elected to Parliament in 2021 and was re-elected to serve in the 12th Parliament for the 2026–2031 term. Known for her legal expertise, she is a commissioner for oaths and a notary public.
