Sharada Puryanaik

Sharada Puryanaik is an Indian politician serving as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, representing the Shimoga Rural constituency. First elected in 2013, she regained her seat in the 2023 assembly elections. In July 2023, she made history as the first woman to be elected as the deputy legislature party leader of the Janata Dal (Secular) in the Karnataka Assembly. Outside of her political career, she is a business owner who operates a petrol station.
