Sharon Hodgson

Sharon Hodgson is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Washington and Gateshead South since 2024. Previously, she represented the constituencies of Gateshead East and Washington West and Washington and Sunderland West starting in 2005. In March 2026, she was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention. Throughout her career, she has held various shadow ministerial roles and served on several select committees. Hodgson is a member of the Labour Party and is known for her work as a vice-chair of Labour Friends of Israel.
