Sheila Ruth

Sheila Ruth is an American politician serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 44B. A progressive activist, she founded the Baltimore County Progressive Democratic Club and has been a vocal advocate for ethical standards, public campaign financing, and anti-discrimination housing laws. Before entering the legislature in 2020, she worked as a publishing systems programmer, computer specialist, and website developer. Ruth continues to focus on environmental and economic policy, including efforts to raise the state minimum wage.
