松本眞

Shin Matsumoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Amagasaki. Born in Shizuoka, he graduated from Tokyo Gakugei University and began his career as a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). He later served as the Superintendent of Education for Amagasaki City before being elected mayor in 2022. Matsumoto campaigned on a platform focused on child-rearing support, including the elimination of medical fees for children up to age 18 and the reduction of childcare waiting lists. He is known for his advocacy of work-life balance and active participation in parenting.
