臼井伸介

Shinsuke Usui is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Akishima, Tokyo, a position he has held since 2016. Born in Akishima, he graduated from Seikei University and began his career as a municipal employee for the Akishima City Office. Prior to his election as mayor, he served six terms as a member of the Akishima City Council, where he also held the position of council chairman from 2009 to 2011. He was first elected mayor in 2016 with broad support and has since been re-elected twice, most recently in 2024.
