Shishir Khanal is a Nepalese politician serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2026. A senior member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, he has represented the Kathmandu 6 constituency in the House of Representatives since 2022. Before his current role, he briefly served as the Minister of Education, Science and Technology in 2023. Prior to his political career, Khanal co-founded Teach For Nepal and led international reconstruction efforts in Sri Lanka and Haiti. He holds a Master of International Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
