Siân Gwenllian

Siân Gwenllian is a Welsh politician serving as the Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning since 2026. A member of Plaid Cymru, she has been a Member of the Senedd since 2016, representing the Gwynedd Maldwyn constituency. Previously a journalist for the BBC and HTV, she served as a county councillor in Gwynedd before entering national politics. Throughout her career, she has held various leadership roles within her party, including co-deputy leader and spokesperson for the Welsh language and education, and was a key figure in the 2021–2024 Co-operation agreement between Plaid Cymru and the Welsh Government.
