
Signe Kivi
Profile
Signe Kivi is an Estonian textile artist and politician currently serving as a member of the Riigikogu. Born in Tallinn, she graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1980 and later served as its rector from 2005 to 2015. Kivi has held significant public roles, including serving as the Minister of Culture from 1999 to 2002. Throughout her career, she has balanced her work as an artist and academic with her legislative duties, having been a member of the IX, X, and XIV Riigikogu, and continuing her parliamentary service in the 15th Riigikogu.
