Simon Hart is a British politician and life peer who currently serves as a Member of the House of Lords. Previously, he was the Member of Parliament for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire from 2010 to 2024, during which time he held several senior government roles, including Secretary of State for Wales and Chief Whip of the House of Commons. A former chartered surveyor and executive in the countryside sector, Hart is known for his support of rural issues and his advocacy for fox hunting. He was awarded a life peerage in 2025.
