James Arbuthnot

James Arbuthnot, Baron Arbuthnot of Edrom, is a British Conservative Party politician and life peer who has served in the House of Lords since 2015. Previously, he was a long-serving Member of Parliament for Wanstead and Woodford and later North East Hampshire, holding various ministerial roles including Minister for Defence Procurement. Throughout his career, he chaired the influential Defence Select Committee and has been a prominent advocate for justice for subpostmasters affected by the British Post Office scandal. A former barrister, he remains active in defence and security policy advisory roles.
