Simona Bonafé

Simona Bonafé is an Italian politician and journalist currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies. A long-time member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2022, where she was a prominent advocate for circular economy policies and served as vice-chair of the S&D Group. Before her national and European parliamentary career, she held local government roles in Scandicci and worked as a journalist for publications such as Corriere di Firenze and Europa.
