Sosthène Nguema Nguema is a Gabonese politician and engineer who currently serves as the Minister of Mines and Geological Resources. Born in 1974 in Oyem, he holds advanced degrees in biology, environmental management, and risk prevention from universities in Gabon and France. Before entering politics, he worked as a QHSE engineer in the private sector and managed strategic projects in the mining and hydrocarbon industries. A member of the 'Ça suffit comme ça' movement since 2007, he was appointed as a transitional deputy in 2023 and later served as Minister of Petroleum and Gas before assuming his current ministerial role in January 2026.
