Stacey Evans

Stacey Evans is an American attorney and politician currently serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for District 57, a position she has held since 2021. Previously, she represented District 42 in the same chamber from 2011 to 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, Evans is known for her legislative advocacy regarding education, particularly her opposition to changes to the HOPE Scholarship program, and her work on civil rights and judiciary issues. In 2018, she ran for governor of Georgia, finishing second in the Democratic primary. Throughout her career, she has maintained a private law practice and has been recognized for her legislative work, including her vocal opposition to restrictive abortion legislation and her support for charter school expansion.
