Steffi Lemke

Steffi Lemke is a German politician who served as the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety, and Consumer Protection from 2021 to 2025. A co-founder of the Green Party in the GDR, she has been a long-standing member of the Bundestag, representing Saxony-Anhalt. Throughout her career, she has focused on environmental policy, nature conservation, and agricultural issues. Lemke previously served as the managing director of the Green Party and as a parliamentary whip, playing a key role in coalition negotiations and legislative agenda setting.
