Steve Race

Steve Race is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Exeter since 2024. Before entering national politics, he worked in communications and consultancy, including roles at BCW and FleishmanHillard, and served as a councillor on Hackney Council from 2018 to 2024. Race, who describes his political philosophy as European Social Democracy, prioritizes homelessness prevention and animal welfare. He previously worked as a parliamentary researcher for Ben Bradshaw and chaired the Young Fabians. He is recognized as an LGBTQ+ Member of Parliament.
