Steven Guilbeault is a Canadian politician and former environmental activist who has served as the Member of Parliament for Laurier–Sainte-Marie since 2019. A prominent figure in the environmental movement, he co-founded the organization Équiterre and held leadership roles at Greenpeace Canada. Throughout his political career, he has served in several cabinet positions, including Minister of Canadian Heritage and Minister of Environment and Climate Change. Following his resignation from the cabinet in November 2025, he currently serves as a Liberal backbench MP.
